Or, listen to the Sklar brothers. Hilarious.
The most normal face transplant to date..the other ones look kind of weird but this guy looks semi normal at least from the one picture of him.
Seems kind of ironic to be seeing this as I watched an episode of Nip/Tuck the other day roughly with this idea (yes I know the show is old, but I love me some Netflix). Pretty incredible the places that the medical field can go. And to think how recently this would never even be dreamed of.
Plus, you're wearing a DEAD GUY'S FACE! People seem to gloss over this overly freaky detail too much IMO.
Actually, I think the face forms more to your skull structure, so you wind up looking more like your old self than like the donor, and this can be reworked with plastic surgery also. I saw a high school grad pic of the first guy, and with his new face, he looks similar to his old self.
I understand that the first procedures required the recipient to take anti-rejection(??) drugs. Wonder if they still do? As far as wearing a dead person's face, you gotta look at the alternative. People wear dead people's hearts etc all the time.
I can't imagine getting your face ripped off. It hurts sometimes popping a zit on the face, especially near the lip area
