Re: St. Louis and Moline Questions
John Deere Commons in Moline was recently remodeled and is good for a couple of hours. Deere & Company World headquarters is a good tour, as is Harvester Works (combines). Riverbandits baseball is a fun time in cool setting on the Mississippi River. There are river excursions available; Jumer's and Isle of Capri casinos in nearby Rock Island and Bettendorf. I-Wireless Center has frequent concerts. And, there are numerous good restaurants such as Bass Street Steak House, Johnny's Italian Steak House, the River House, Woodfire Grille, Duck City Bistro, Granite City, Crane & Pelican, Faithful Pilot. The District in Rock Island offers plenty of night clubs.

Re: St. Louis and Moline Questions
Farinclone,
You didn't say how many would be attending your meeting. If you're golfers, there are numerous courses and greens fees are very reasonable. You could also play Deere Run @ TPC. It's more expensive than the other courses, but you get to play the course that the PGA pros play during the John Deere Classic.

Re: St. Louis and Moline Questions
If your company comes to the Quad Cities, don't even consider going anywhere else to see baseball other than Modern Woodmen Park (John O'Donnell Stadium). You get an unparalleled view of the Mississippi River (where it's actually wide, unlike in St. Louis).

Is this for just adults or is this a family thing? There is the Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley for the kids.
Also don't forget Antique Archaeology in LeClaire. It's kind of underwhelming to see in person but it's an option.
No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine. -
Re: St. Louis and Moline Questions
Grants Farm in St.Louis, free & owned by Budweiser. Includes German bavarian beer garden setting at end of tour that includes complimentary beers. Along with normal Bud products, will also have new un-marketed beers for sampling.

The District in Rick Island offers plenty of night clubs. Not to be picky but I think its Rock Island . There are two brew pubs on the Davenport side and at least two on the Illinois side also. Bent River Brewery in Moline has a Jalapeno Beer that you have to try at least once. I could never drink a full glass but the sampler is good as a chaser of their other beers. There is also a new distillery in LeClaire IA that is a quick tour but interesting. They distill all their products with ingredients from the local area or as close as they can get. I know somebody else mentioned it but I have heard the zoo is quite nice also.

You must still be uninformed about the area if you think Moline has something to do.

It was soooo hot and the zoo smelled soooo bad. I have disliked zoos ever since.

Been to every state except Hawaii, and many major metro areas, including the sweat area of St. Louis, numerous times. It's all a matter of perspective. After you've done the Arch, taken a brewery tour, eaten at the local eateries and caught a Cards game, what else is there to do?
