Does anyone have a good source for Iowa State decals for bags boards? Preferably the old school Cy leaning on the I?

I talked to this guy. He's a Cyclone. Don't know him personally, someone else directed me his way. Good product, reasonable price, sent it quickly. And I intend to contact him again soon for another project.

Very time consuming, but I made my own stencils (I-State logo). Cut it all out with a knife, traced and taped the whole thing and painted by hand.

I suggest doing the stencil thing or project and trace the image onto the boards. That is what I did. very time comsuming but very satisfying!

You mean like this? I found these stickers online, I think it was through ebay. I can't remember the exact website but I do remember finding lots of options just by searching for Iowa State Cyclones stickers. Hopefully you can find them.

One of my buddies is in a design program at ISU and he printed off some logo's on larger paper ( I imagine you could do the same at copyworks or something), printed a few of each logo, cut out insides of one, and outsides of other, taped and stincled each. Hand painted them. I painted the primer and base (red on one, yellow on the other), then did stincled the logos right on top of the base coats.

-Let it dry really well (a day) that way you can tape stuff off if you want. Much easier. Then give it a light sand to get the coats even.

- I also used the spray on varnish made by miniwax (sold at Lowe's). This worked really well. It was quick to apply, put a couple coats on, then really lightly sanded, to give it the slick protection, but isn't so slick that the bags will slide right off.

-Lowe's also has almost every Universities colors on their computer. So it's very easy to get the right colors. Since you're wanting the old logo they might have to tint the color a little. If you go to the Lowe's in Ames, ask for Court, he mixed my paint for me and did a good job. Use an Exterior Latex paint. If you have any questions message me.
