After watching a couple times, I think I can see the driver of the SUV.

I think I just watched a life(lives) being extinguished.
I know, I hated them too, but those cable barriers that run down I35 from Ames to Ankeny are to help keep this scenario from happening.

Re: SUV vs Semi Crash
Anyone remember the crash something like 10 years ago in Des Moines. For some reason, I want to say it was a car full of druggies trying to outrun the cops and they pulled out in front of a semi and just got flattened? That was probably the worst I've ever seen.

Guy in a Chevy S-10 pickup with a riding lawn mower in the back running from a police officer in Altoona I think? Remember that one quite clear as well.

Re: SUV vs Semi Crash
While the problem of SUV rollover has been greatly improved via changes in vehicle technology and design, excessive cargo weight can still increase the likelihood that a rollover will occur. Understanding the limitations of a vehicle before handling weighty cargo on twisting roads saves your life and the lives of others. But still, the best way to avoid any type of vehicular rollover is to drive smart. Defensive driving techniques will keep you from quick turns and overzealous, last-second use of brakes. Survey the road ahead and don’t panic when conditions change or obstacles appear. In rain, snow and ice, drive slowly. Avoid tailgating. Use all appropriate blinker signals.
