Re: Most Americans are physically lazy
Walking sucks. I'd ride a segway from room to room in my house if I had a ranch. I guess I could get one of those elevator lift things that haul you up the stairs.

Come here to chew bubble gum and kick ***, have I. And all out of bubble gum, I am. -
Re: Most Americans are physically lazy
I also love walking to classes... wait, I live in Omaha and haven't taken an ISU class in 17 years. Nevertheless, I only drive when where I need to go is more than 4 miles away, or if it is cold. A 3 mile walk is nothing.

You guys hear about that guy who sailed off the end of the world out west? Turns out, the world didn't end and there was some new world over there. Can't remember the guys name of hand. Christmas....Christofferson....someone help me out here.

Re: Most Americans are physically lazy
Seriously though I loved the ISU campus for walking too. The only time it sucked was when you had 10 minutes to get all the way across it!

Re: Most Americans are physically lazy
It's pretty sad and funny watching people drive around for ten minutes trying to find a parking space at the gym that is close enough to the door so they don't have to walk very far. Dude, you are going to the gym supposedly to get a work out. "There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

Re: Most Americans are physically lazy
College campuses (campi?) are about the only place set up to be walking-friendly. We walk (3 kids do too) about everywhere in Ankeny within a mile or so, which gets us to the sports complex and a couple restaurants, but other than that, we live in a driver's world
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating. -
