I'd say it's hard to play any pro sports with zero natural talent. Some sports harder than others.

I'm not saying it's more difficult to play soccer an elite level than it is baseball at an elite level. All I'm saying is you'd have no clue as whether that's true or not. I'd like to know what your soccer background is. I'm sure you were awesome when you were 8.

It is the World's sport for a reason. It's just too bad that there are some in America who refuse to support it because if you do then you are teh gayz or apparently a hipster. There is never any homoerotic actions in baseball, football, or basketball such as butt patting, jumping on top of a pile of men, man-hugs, etc.

All these baseball fans spout off about soccer every chance they get because it is a coping skill. I believe that they know "America's Past Time" is dying and is probably still around only due to two steroid abusing muscle heads that cheated an entire fan base and history of this once popular game in the late 90's.

soccer > baseball...in popularity and watch ability....if you have a favorite soccer team (mine is arsenal) it's fun cheering for your team as the games mean more then the mlb (162 games...really?).

Also there are in-season tournaments which are awesome as every team is invited (the equivalent of minor league teams in england play in the top tournaments).

There's a reason futbol (soccer) is the most popular sport in the world. It's not becuase of the country's economics but because it's a very fun sport to watch and the rivalries kill the UNC-Duke, Yankees- Red Sox, and others.

To the person who said soccer isn't athletic...play a 90 minute match then come back here..it's constant action, no breaks like football and/or baseball..it also hurts the image as in the 90 minutes there will have to be some dull moments, most of it is strategy.

In summary, haters gonna hate, though the world knows soccer is king.

I don't see soccer ever being more popular than football, basketball, or baseball in this country. I also couldn't really care less what sport is most popular in other countries.

1. It's not just baseball fans that say soccer sucks. It's 80% of America.
2. Whoever said MLB is dying and MLS is rising...I'm still laughing. I agree MLB is dying, but MLS will never reach MLB fandom. And I'd say MLS hasn't been improving their fandom either. Not many people can name 2 MLS teams.
