I would suggest Rubber Factory or Attack and Release.

Re: Any Black Keys fans out there
I love Black Keys old and new. I own every single album. While I can say they have definitely changed their sound a bit or "evolved", I don't yet see them as "selling out"... Newer sounds are still very interesting to me.

They've definately evolved in a good way. If you listen to their early stuff, you can sort of tell they knew what they wanted to do but hadn't refined their sound yet. Some of the latest albums are a little clearer sound, a bit tigher on the vocals.
If you can find it, there was a pretty good feature in Rolling Stone a few months ago that shows how the two of them got together. Sounded like Carney and Auberbach knew each other in high school but Carney was the outcast and Auberbach was a star/stoner soccer player. Good read.

I'd highly recommend going back through all of their pre-Brothers stuff. There are some stellar tracks off of every album that they have put out & they've been around a lot longer than some might realize (2001, 7 albums, one really good EP, and a cool hip-hop collaborative album). My favorite song of theirs might be Brooklyn Bound off of their first album The Big Come Up.

But if you are a fan of their stuff at all you'll find plenty of stuff to like on their old albums if you work your way through. And if the sound of their hip-hop collaboration sounds interesting just go to YouTube and search BlakRoc.

I didn't see the Rolling Stone article, but I did watch a feature on CBS Sunday morning about them - it confirms they knew each other in HS.

My fav band, I have every album. I would have to say though Thickfrickness is their best album though. Magic potion was a bit to experimental but still liked it. Lonely boys brought them back to their old roots with a new twist.

However, the radio is starting to drive them the way of Kings of Leon. I loved them until the radio got a hold of them and overplayed them to the point where I cringe when I hear them. I hope that doesn't happen w/the Black Keys.

Highly recommend an old EP of theirs called Chulahoma. Tribute to an old blues guy named Junior Kimbrough. Absolutely fantastic.

Great band. Saw them in Iowa City before Brothers dropped. I own most of their albums.

Agreed. Thickfreakness, great album and song. They open most of their shows with this song.
