Game of Thrones NO SPOILERS
Please keep this thread on topic. If you want to discuss the differences between the book and the series please post in the other thread. There is a lot of gray area in what is and isn't a spoiler so please keep this thread dedicated to the HBO series. Hopefully this will get rid of the arguing that took over the original thread.
Thanks!

Re:Game of Thrones NO SPOILERS
Almost finished with last year on DVD. Any idea how many seasons will finish off the book? Are the other books about the same people and places?

Re: Game of Thrones NO SPOILERS
Has anyone read all the books? I've stayed out of the other thread so far - I've found that it's pretty hard to read the books and stay spoiler free if you look up any of the characters on the interwebs.
I've finished the first two, and will probably read the 3rd, but based on the Amazon reviews, it sounds like the 4th and 5th are pretty weak. Should I bother with them, or just read the summaries on wikipedia?

Crazy one tonight, story just building and building. Only two episodes left this season, which leads me to believe **** is about to hit the fan.

Anyone else just checkout during the Danaerys storyline? You would think someone who has 3 dragons wouldn't be so boring.

Should I bother with them, or just read the summaries on wikipedia? Book 3 is worth reading - there are some events (1 in particular) that occur in this book that were meant for HBO.
The reason books 4 & 5 feel drawn out is because they are 1 book that was split in half: book 4 covers the events in Westeros, while book 5 covers the lands outside of Westeros (the wall).

Re: Game of Thrones NO SPOILERS
The last few minutes last night left me shocked. Theon is way over his head. If that was indeed one of the Stark kids, he just made the biggest mistake he could. And the look on his face made me think it wasn't his doing.

Re: Game of Thrones NO SPOILERS
No way they killed the little stark kid without showing any of it. It's a power play to force the others to take him seriously. Stark is fine, you can tell his story and connection to the wolf is yet to be told. I have not read the books btw.
