Peaks for me in a couple of minutes. No cloud cover, so it pretty cool.
Ring of fire now visible over California.
I did learn tonight that there will be a total solar eclipse on August 21st 2017 that will cross over very near to where my parents live... I would love to see that!
i looked at it while driving. forgot my welding helmet, so just looked at it the old-fashioned way. i saw the bottom covered - like many have said - 25% ish coverage.
I remember as a kid viewing an eclipse through my dad's welding helmet...very cool. I also recall a neighbor throwing an "eclipse party" for their kids' friends to keep them indoors so they wouldn't be tempted to look at the sun.
Well, I'm blind. Just can't tell if it's from the eclipse
Am I too late?!
I was driving. Seeing the sun through the trees while driving gave me the best view I could ask for. Caught it at all the way through. Very cool stuff.
