Ames Restaurants
What places in Ames have a nice deck or patio to eat at and get your service outside?
Looking for a date idea, nicer type of place, if that helps.
Yes, I know Culvers has some tables outside, just to get that one out of the way.
TIA!

I think b-dubs has some outdoor seating...

^^^^ speak for yourself, drinks and food on the patio by the water at WTP is great.

Along the same lines, are there any beer gardens in Ames? The closest thing I can think of is the the smoking patio at Mickey's.

TIA! I think "The Cafe" has an outdoor terrace. Great place for a date. Nice intimate bar and separate restaurant, and a separate deli. The Cafe - Ames Iowa - Passionate people who believe that good food, good drink and good company are the rewarding ingredients of life. -

I believe all Dairy Queens have outdoor seating. Just make sure she orders off the value menu. It's always important to train a woman not to dig deep in a mans wallet, or it will just get worse and worse until you are broke.

Stomping Grounds on Welch Ave. is much more than a coffee shop. They have a nice lunch and dinner menu and serve meals on their patio.

This sounds like a question for Al Fresco.

My pick as.well, though maybe more casual than most places. Cafe would be second on my list.

Re: Ames Restaurants
Stomping Grounds is good, but I'm not a big fan of them for dinner as they pretty much just serve smallish sandwiches and crepes...Great place for lunch or breakfast though.
The Cafe is probably the best, but can be tough to get a table outside if it's a really nice day.
West Town Pub is casual bar food, nice patio. Don't go if it's really windy as it will come howling across the highway.
Dublin Bay is nice, solid patio. Good food. If it's a date I'd avoid the corn beef and cabbage!
