Screw it. I'm hijacking this thread. Pretty sure i'm the biggest VH fan on this site.

    5. Spanked
    4. 5150
    3. Get Up
    2. Poundcake

Best of Mikey's back up vox (I love Wolfie's bass playing btw, and I don't think Mike is too upset about having to play with Satriani nowadays):

    5. Show Your Love
    4. You're No Good
    3. I Can't Wait to Feel Your Love Tonight
    2. Happy Trails
    1. Tora Tora Tora/Loss of Control

OK. I'm done. Unless someone wants to argue with me.

I agree about Michael Anthony - I like Wolfie, but to me VH will always be Dave and Michael's backing vocals. I truly fail to acknowledge they existed after 1984 because Sammy Hagar ranks up there with Def Leppard for cheesiest songs ever. Can't stand them.

    I would add one to a fav top 5 --- Jamie's Crying
Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

A true fan of the BAND doesn't care who's singing. I'm so hardcore I have the songs from Van Halen III memorized.

That being said I have both Dave & Sammy's (& Chickenfoot of course) solo stuff. Sammy gets a bad rep cuz all anyone knows are his hits which, yes, usually contained some cliche lyrics about love. If you dig deep into his repetoire you can hear his blues and Zeppelin roots. Give his best five I listed a listen and get back to me.

    4. Good Enough
    3. Dirty Movies
    2. Amsterdam
    1. Dream Another Dream

Oh please. I've seen both versions in concert and own just about everything they've put out on vinyl and CD.

...and no one has Hot Summer Nights as a good Van Hagar song?

I have all 6 albums through 1984, and also A Different Kind of Truth. Also worth mentioning "Intruder" (intro to Pretty Woman) pretty much kicks......

LOVE that tune! Especially how Eddie makes his guitar sound like breaking and entering. How bout "Sunday Afternoon in the Park?" That'll rattle your skull if you got the bass system for it!
