Are Iowans still upset with the smoking law?
I haven't heard anything about it in quite some time.

If you are, you need to get back in your trailer.

As a nonsmoker I was never was really upset to being with.

I think it should have been left to the bars. The good thing is that it's made a lot of bars create some nice patios. Although next you'll have people complain about people smoking outside.

If somebody smokes in my presence, I either leave or ***** at them.

Re:Are Iowans still upset with the smoking law?
Yeah, people will go out of their way to find a smoker outside and complain about that. Once they can't complain about that, they'll move on to the next thing.

Can we get an official list of the thousands of businesses that had to close due to lost revenue due to the smoking ban? That's what a lot of Iowans were predicting when it was proposed even though it worked great in other states.

Do you want a list of bars that have went out of business in the last few years in Iowa. I'm sure it's a few.
To be honest, I doubt that the smoking ban itself put a lot of them out of business but if they we're barely profitable, something like the ban may have been the final straw.
For me it's not about the smoking or the loss of business. It's just another example of big brother getting involved in something they shouldn't. At the same time you notice that the casino still allows smoking. If the majority of adults still smoked this would have never happened.

Re: Are Iowans still upset with the smoking law?
In principle, i dont like it because it seems an overreach of government.
In practice though, i dont miss going to a bar and having everything i wore smelling like smoke.
I didnt like that there was an exemption given for casinos (that rake in big $$ for the state). Hypocritical as hell.
