Thanks! Marrakech and Eswara were my favorite places. Most of the tajine dishes are good.

I was watching a travel program on television, Marrakech has an epic food market: Slide Show | Snapshots From Morocco: Market Food in Marrakech | Serious Eats -

I went to Morocco at epcot in Disney world. solid food, a little overpriced. also a little too close to Russia for my liking.

I went to Tangier for literally four hours. All we could handle at the time. Neat to see but didn't find it all the enjoyable. With that said wouldn't mind going back one day.

Re: Anybody Been to Morocco?
ask if you can watch the ritual slaughtering of the goat that is done IN THEIR HOUSE.....
having travelled to tunisia and egypt myself, going to place like this will surely prove to show you how nice it is here in this country.
my sister has recently been to morrocco - in the bathroom in the house she visited - no toilet paper, just a towel that is used as a common piece of toilet paper for all bathroom visitors to use....
shake hands? nah, i'll pass...
The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.

The bathroom thing sucks...seriously. Same rag? haha. YUCK.
I've had a similar situation. I would go to this Nargile (hookah) place in Istanbul in the old city that was in this ******* ancient building that looked like an old 16th century mosque. Never used the bathroom in this place until about 5 days in..had to go badly. Get in there and all I see was a hole in the ground in the middle of this white plastic housing like this Indian Squat Toilet | Photo I had never seen one before, only heard about it. So I walk out, and this guy is washing the bathroom. I motion to him like "you take a **** in this?" and he basically tells me in Turkish "No **** you take a **** in that..duh."
What's worse about it? There was no toilet paper, no rag, no nothing. There was only a spigot and a metal pitcher. Surprised me as all toilets in Istanbul were regular toilets. I come back out and tell my American ex pat friends about it. One of them hands me a packet of tissues and says "now you know why there's poor kids selling these on the street."
Funny story though is a few days later I was taking a regional flight to another city in Turkey. Go to the bathroom before my flight, all stalls were taken. Two guys infront of me. Last stall opens that says "A La Turk" on it. First guy in line all of a sudden pretends like he's on a cell phone call. Next old guy starts speaking Turkish to me saying "go go !" So I go, and it's another ******* squat toilet. Apparently "A La Turk" on a stall means "squat toilet" basically.
Anyway, my coworker said his friend went there and it changed his life. All he said was..think of the really bad poor stuff here, and amplify it by 10 in a country like that for all the squalor.
