    Casinos

Well the opening of the new Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland got me thinking....

What's your favorite Casino you've been to?

Well I've only been to two ever and only gambled in one... so I guess I will pick Meskwaki... Still a wee bit young for most casinos sadly...

Picture of Horseshoe Cleveland... go check it out! You will recognize the store from the movie "A Christmas Story" Higbee's Department Store? Where the Santa/Slide scene took place... SAME BUILDING!

    My teams: (as of 2/27/13)
    Cleveland Browns: 5-11 - .313
    Cleveland Indians: 68-94 - .421
    Cleveland Cavs: 19-38 - .333
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 6-7 - .462

    9/22/18 & 9/7/19
    Akron and Iowa State

    Re: Casinos

Funny you bring this up.....the wife and I were just out there last week. We stopped by the Christmas Story house and museum, then went downtown. I parked along one of the streets but didn't even realize I had parked right in front of the Horseshoe Casino. We poked around the area and the mall it is attached to. Didn't go inside the casino itself but looked into the area that Higbee's had been in. Looked really nice.

Kinda sorta. If I recall correctly, 50 Public Square is Terminal Tower and the Casino is 100 Public Square. They are all attached however.

    Hollywood Casino in Joliet, IL.
Because that's the only casino I've actually walked away from with a decent amount of money. I won $1,000 on video poker. Hit a royal flush on a quarter slot with no wilds, betting max.

    Here's the pic I took:

    Re: Casinos

Also, since the Higbee Store is a Registered Historical Place, they had a ton of limitations so it makes it the only casino that is on the list of historical places and extremely unique. They couldn't move any pillars so they sight lines are much more enclosed. Also, unlike most casinos, they have HUGE windows that couldn't be removed because of the limitations.

    Re: Casinos

I can tell you the worst casino: the Bahamas. It wasn't nasty or anything but US casinos regulate payouts a lot better.

    Re: Casinos

    I'm not a casino person.

I have visited all the major Las Vegas casinos having lived in Las Vegas.

Nevertheless, I prefer the Colorado casinos for the simple reason that Colorado requires that they be smoke free.

    Re: Casinos

Vegas is def the best. I used to go to mistic lake before I turned 21, that was fun back then.

I've been going to new casino in KC right next to the speedway. It's nice and clean. You all should def give it a try if you are in KC!

    Re: Casinos

I would've thought more Minnesota ones would be up there. Looking to do a trip this summer with some friends... trying to figure out the best. Mystic Lake would be the choice if it had Poker... but it just doesn't lol
