Re: Hatfield & McCoy's--History Channel
The commercial breaks are getting to be absurd. Come back for 5 minutes tops, go to a 7 minute commercial break.

I like some of the movies he's in; Untouchables, Dances with wolves; Perfect World

Re: Hatfield & McCoy's--History Channel
Don't understand the hate of Costner, ya, not a great actor, but there are lots of actor's with a lot less range. He has been an indian and mutant, a womanizer, a farmer, Body guard and a water rescuer.
Nick Cage has never impressed me, Tom Cruise has been pretty marginal in a lot of movies (although he has been in some good movies despite his acting), Eddy Murphy is terrible. Never, ever understood Drew Barrymore as a love interest???????????

Re: Hatfield & McCoy's--History Channel
Pretty good series so far. I didn't really know anything about the conflict before so I looked on Wikipedia for some background information. The show and that didn't match up with some dates and some information on the hog situation, but don't know if that's Wikipedia or the writers putting a spin on something. Have been looking forward to this show for a long time and so far pretty impressed with it.

Re: Hatfield & McCoy's--History Channel
interesting to see the tv show having the elders hatfield and mccoy seeming to fight for the confederacy. the history says that the families fought on different sides - hatfields for the south, mccoys for the north - unless i misunderstood that first portion of the show.

According to American Pickers (who just picked a site of this feud) A McCoy who was injured was coming home and the Hatfields thought he was a deserter and killed him. They said thats what started it, I believe.
Edit: No I don't take AP for their historical accuracy.
