Yeah I have tried the footlongs but I thought they were thin and I like mine with more girth.

I prefer brats. Any meat counter ones work for me.

For dogs, natural casing from fareway.

I prefer a thicker dog. I think you sometimes you get a lot of bun with the foot longs because they stretch the meat a little more.

While were are the subject of hot dogs, has anyone tried the big unit at cooperstown?

I like Fareway brats, but have noticed they shrink up pretty bad on the grill. Havent had their dogs.

On a different note, I finally had the Boomstick at Ranger Stadium last Friday. It is a $26 x 2' dog that may be the greatest I have ever had. We split it 4 ways. The bread was amazing, but the weiner itself was thick and quite tasty.
