I also immediately thought of the naked Vietnamese girl from the Life magazine cover, Ruby shooting Oswald, 9/11, Hiroshima/Nagasaki, Marilyn Monroe on the storm drain, etc.Some of those are WTF. And definitely a political slant to a lot of them.

I had never seen this photo before. And can't believe it exists. It had to be taken by the Nazi's and I wouldn't have thought they would have allowed photo of a POW standing up to one of the most major figures in the German Army see the light of day.

If this list is supposed to be a ranking, I can't comprehend how the Tianeman Square picture is not number one. That picture is the epitome of courage. Also I would say a pic of a plane hitting one of the twin towers, or perhaps the chaos that ensued. Isn't there a pic with a firetruck just covered in ash or something along those lines?

Me neither, and I am pretty big WWII buff. Awesome picture. Himmler and Tojo could have been long lost cousins.
