I clicked on a uthoff article and it took me to hawkeye nation.... so i couldnt help but check out their forums (ive never been on there before). After being on CF for almost a year i was beginning to think that cyclone fans were as bad as hawk fans. WRONG! Its not even close! The claim that the basketball and football games between the 2 schools are iowa states biggest games are completely false. After reading a few threads on there i would argue the other way around. Those people are obsessed with what is going on at iowa state. They bash anything, everything and anyone that has to do with iowa state without putting any thought into what they are saying. Im sure most of it has to do with them feeling threatened by iowa states current success and how promising our future looks....These next few years are going to be exciting!
Meh dont get worked up over it. They have some good posters over there that you can carry a conversation with. Most of the moron threads you see are started by common offenders there. They get ripped on by their fellow fans. Happens here too.
Your reaction is exactly what those guys were looking for. Some of them really do hate ISU that much to where they run them down any chance they get. Others just want to get a rise out of Cyclone fans to provide some entertainment in a dead period.

You should probably also avoid the rivalry section of CF too...

It happens quite a bit more often over there it seems like. Also it seems as though they start more threads about us than we do. Though I do admit that there is one Cyclone poster (can't remember who now) that starts a lot of threads about Iowa State.
I would never post there for the simple fact of being attacked by stupidity without my actual message being considered. I appreciate the opinions from reasonable Hawk fans on this site but I don't feel much good would be done by starting threads or commenting on threads there as a Cyclone fan. It would take too long to become a reputable Cyclone fan that was actually appreciated, kind of how there are so few here Hawk fans that have been CF approved. I love e11en more every day, but only in hopes of a conversion.
