Megabus!
Anyone else use this glorious service? I'm on my way over to Chicago from Cleveland and it only cost me $10.50 ROUNDTRIP! I am doing it again in July and it only cost me $2.50 ROUNDTRIP!
Oh yea, and there is Wi-Fi and that is how I can post this thread.
My teams: (as of 2/27/13) Cleveland Browns: 5-11 - .313 Cleveland Indians: 68-94 - .421 Cleveland Cavs: 19-38 - .333 Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 6-7 - .462 9/22/18 & 9/7/19 Akron and Iowa State CAN'T WAIT! -
Re: Megabus!
My sister and mother have used it before. They said it was a pretty good experience overall. We need cheap forms of public transportation in this country.

I pick people up after they used it. People seem generally satisfied with it.

Re: Megabus!
Me and my g/f got tickets to Chicago round-trip. $8.50 TOTAL! I've spent more on a pitcher of beer!

Re: Megabus!
Is it subsidized in some way? I don't know how they can afford to offer the prices they do. I haven't looked into it much, however.

I agree, but I don't think discount bus lines are going to be a tenable option. Megabus is one of the better ones, but a good share of these bus lines are so cheap because they cut corners at the expense of safety; they skirt regulations/licensure by hiring shady drivers, not training them well, not giving them adequate breaks, skimping on maintenance, etc. Unacceptable Risk: Cheap Buses, Fatal Rides - Popular Mechanics -

Exactly. You have to buy a long time in advance to get the great rates. When I have used it, I paid $50+ one way.

Re: Megabus!
Megabus is just like any other bus line imo. My fiance got bus tickets to Chicago for $1 a piece on greyhound, granted it did leave iowa city at 1:30AM. You buy early enough and you will get a good rate on any bus line and they all have wi fi now days.
