Las Vegas

So I'm headed to Las Vegas next week (5 days/4 nights worth) and only been there once which was when we played UNLV a few years back. For those of you that frequent there what do you recommend? My wife is out there on business which made it an affordable trip for me to fly out later so I have to fill my daytime hours Weds-Friday. Right now on the list:

-Visit the Pawn Stars store. I watch this show and want to see the place in person, everything I read says go in the morning to avoid the long lines.
- See a show. Jeff Dunham is in town so right now that is our front runner
- Buffets. Going to hit at least 1 or 2 while there, which ones are the best?
- Casinos. Not a big gambler so while I'll make my rounds don't plan to spend hours at a blackjack table with the luck I had last time losing $50 in about 10 minutes at the first stop we made which pretty much was a sign to stay away from the tables for awhile.

Already seen the stratosphere and the Belagio fountains so probably make a quick stop at both but not a must. Just wondering what other "hidden gems" I should check out?

If you're not going to gamble and get free alcohol, Casino Royale has $1.75 bottles of beer.

pawn stars isn't really worth it. if you like sushi the best I found was in the mgm. the roller coaster on new York new York is fun. I would have love to go to old down town.

Staying at the Monte Carlo. Not a fan of sushi either. Plan to hit the 7/11 to stock up on beer as you can buy a case for about the same as you can here so no point in buying $6+ drinks if I don't have to.

I hear that Pawn Stars is disappointing but I have nothing better to do during the day so might as well make that stop just to say I've been there. Luckily for the weekend my wife's co-worker who lives in town is going to take us out so I'm sure living there they know where the best spots to go but I'm more pre-occupied with finding things to do during the daytime since sitting in the hotel all day would get pretty old. Probably more likely to hit a Sports Book than try my luck at the tables when I do.

Also it's one of the cheaper places to gamble. they also had dollar beer specials in November. Rio has a great buffet.

The wife, I, and another couple are heading out there again in a couple of weeks. On one of the days me and other guy are renting a corvette, driving out to red rock or lake of fire, heading back to shoot some machine guns at machine gun Vegas, and then stopping for some fine dining at in-n-out.

I recommend the Bellagio Buffet that is offered on friday and saturday night.

Hash house a go go is pretty excellent for a breakfast that I'll fill ou to dinner. ISUME is correct on the bellagio buffet. The pub at monte Carlo has some good beer and ok burgers. Peppermill is a fun place to have drinks but is a little off the strip.

Please more suggestions all, I'm going in a few weeks. Is everyone allowed to go to the cheap buffets?

Have you been to the firing range out there before? And if so which one?

I'm going back to vegas in July and could use some more ideas.

?? If you pay you can eat anywhere you want.

If I was young and single I would get the 24hr buffet pass.

No, haven't shot a gun since junior high. It's my understanding that there are two big places in Vegas to shoot guns. The gun store is the original. The place we are going to is very similar but they have woman dressed like you don't see in Iowa.

Is the place called The Gun Store? How much is it to shoot the machine guns?

Any free places to drool over the dancers?

The place wer're going to is called machine gun Vegas. The gun store is the other place.

It's kind of pricey. They have packages that you should be able o see online.

The Imperial Palace has a neat car show on one of their floors in their parking ramp.
