Little bit more expensive, but worth it. This. We could argue all day about which is the best, but everyone mentioned is better than Subway.
I think that it's more of a sentimental thing, but I've always loved Little King (lived off of them in college, you could get a two for one on their footlong, that would last me four days back then).

Re: Casey's Subs
Hmmm never had Casey's subs. Does anybody know if the Casey's in Waukee or any Casey's nearby has the sub shop?
The first time I got Casey's i thought it was coincidence with morning wood.. Turns out their pizza was just that good.

Re: Casey's Subs
Subway can't hold Casey's jock strap. I eat Casey's subs at least once a week.

We do have downtown deli and that place is solid (especially since the decline of West Street Deli). Decline of West Street Deli?

Re: Casey's Subs
Sub City???? Haven't thought about that place in a lot of years. Loved walking up Bremer Ave when I was in college in Waverly to grab one.
I realize that it doesn't belong in this conversation because these are more "convenience-type" stores. But Manhattan Deli on Ingersoll is freaking outstanding.

Re: Casey's Subs
There is a planet sub right by daydreams across the street from drake. Or at least there used to be.

For me, Sub City is on another level (one in which West Street Deli used to be on). But then again, I don't want to start the hype machine.
As a man with fat-guy knowledge of sub shops, I bet Casey's slaps together a mean sandwich. Thank you OP, because I had no clue they even made them. Careful, only the new stores. I had mine in Huxley. As far as Sub City, there is one in Marshalltown and Waverly.

Caseys = Greatest Pizza in Iowa which is funny because it comes from a gas station. Thank you Caseys for not selling out to that Canadian Company!
