So every year we have a big party (avg around 60 people but have had 90+ some years) for the ISU vs IA game. Usually we rotate host houses between 3 of us so the same person isnt always having to host. I was thinking of doing it at a campground this year & we could just set up tents & stay all night but I don't know where to start as far as tv reception. Do any of you have any helpful advice for a way to get the game on tv at a campground?
I use this simple self-made HDTV antennae at tailgates. It was cheap and works really well! As long as your games are on any of the major networks ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, etc this is your best solution. I have one painted Yellow and Red for ISU tailgate, and one painted Silver and Blue for Cowboys tailgating.
I saw those Tailgater dishes. Do you have any experience with it that you could elaborate on?
I have the Winegard Carry Out portable satellite dish and it works great. The Tailgater is sold by Dish network and is supposed to work great also. I was going to get one but I couldn't wait until they were available at the dealer. They are much cheaper than the Carry Out.
The game is on the Big 10 network... so you're kinda screwed no matter what
Not really. Just have to go the dish route as opposed to the wire hanger idea mentioned above. I'm just wondering what dish options people use or have used. Also which to stay away from
This is what I have been using for tailgating and camping. I recently got a permanent dish for my RV, so plan to put this one on Craigslist.
The PVC stand comes apart for easier transport.

What receiver do you use with this? Does it work with HD? PM me with a price if you would.
