    Beef Jerky

    Where can I find good beef jerky in Des Moines? I hate jacks links so much, and want good beef jerky. Anyone have any ideas?

    Ha, I was just gonna post a thread like this the other day. I stopped through IC the other day to pick up my brother-in-law and picked up some jerky that I always get there.

    Bud's Custom Meats - Riverside, IA.

    I like it. Pretty salty, pretty dry, nice and chewy. Love it.

    Still have a pack left - must go get it.

    Have you looked at Picket Fence? I am not sure if they have jerky and it would be a little bit of a drive but the food I have tried is pretty good.
