4th 100 degree day in a row, 5th overall

105 in S Iowa now according to TWC.

Yeah that matches the four days in Aug 88 -the 14th through the 17th. 105 in Indianola for all four back then. I am really wondering what lies ahead. The hottest two days I remember were 110 on August 16, 1983 and when it flashed up to 111 or more on July 31, 1988 in Indianola where the national weather service had something set up at the Balloon fest that year. I am thinking that this hot dry summer might have a day get close to 110 sometime in the next month or so.

Southern Iowa seems to have more droughts, at least when I lived there. There were multiple times/years that the crops were bad.
