I drove through Strawberry Point yesterday. The north side of town coming in on Hwy 13 is all ripped up. Several houses have signs in their yards with dollar amounts on them, like $10,391, $9436, etc. Can anybody explain what that's all about?
the city is upgrading the sewer and the dollar values are the amounts that the home owner has to pay to hook up the new system to their homes.
Thanks. I figured it was something like that.
We saw those signs a month or so ago when we were camping at Backbone. Wondered what they were about. I was guessing some kind of tax protest.
That's a pretty ****** deal for the homeowner.
That road (Hwy. 13 north of 3 in the 'berry) has been rougher than a cob for about 5 years.
All truisms are false. All of them.
Saw this a few months ago while passing through...thought at first people were trying to sell their houses. Some of them were, well, in pretty rough shape so it kinda made sense.
I'd buy a 10k house just to be able to put stuff in the front lawn.
