Re: GM bringing jobs back to US
Very nice to see.
Unfortunately, on the other side of the spectrum, Ralph Lauren outsourced the manufacture of our Olympic team uniforms to China.

Re: GM bringing jobs back to US
I think you might see more of this in the future. IT salaries and expertise have started to really narrow globally. It is no longer as big of a benefit to outsource IT to other countries given the location differences.

Re: GM bringing jobs back to US
Well, it's not like GM owes the U.S. taxpayers anything. I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. -

And they will probably send more manufacturing jobs to Canada and Mexico to compensate for those IT jobs returned to America.

Certainly nice to see, but likely a dumb business move

Yes, intentionally/unintentionally starting another firestorm with that non-seq...

The concept of applied knowledge is lost on them. If it is not written down step by step they are lost. And no one stays in a position long enough to actually gain any true insight into what they are doing.

I've heard this is a major difficulty in working with outsourced IT given they are not native English speakers.
