Now I'm kinda wishing that I would have grabbed an extension tube and really gotten better pics. I didn't think this bug was all that special, just didn't look familiar.

I do believe that is correct. Makes sense as it was on an asclepias incarnata which is a member of the milkweed family.

Lots of good info there, with experts and amateurs ready and willing to ID your beasties for you...

Lots of good info there, with experts and amateurs ready and willing to ID your beasties for you... I used that site all the time when I took Entomology a few years ago, but had no idea it was actually run by ISU.

I agree.... Great photos! What type of camera? I was hoping he would say it was a Samsung Galaxy 3, but that was another thread I guess.
