I drive by that lake on Hwy 20 all the time, and it doesn't seem like the type of place 2 kids could drown in easily. there's no current or anything like you get in a river.
Given that it's two of them, and that there is no trace found, I think the most likely scenario is actually a run-away, or abduction by someone they knew, that they went with willingly.

I thought 5 acres seemed rather small but didn't take the time to look it up/measure it.

Breaking: Father of missing girl Lyric Cook-Morissey, Dan Morissey, tells News Channel 8's Emily Price that he was just questioned by police and "feels like a suspect." He insists that he has nothing to do with Lyric's disappearance and is completely telling police the truth.

Re: Two missing girls
Just the way everything seems, I have to believe that someone close to the family knows exactly where these two young ladies are. And with what CyBer just posted, it makes it much easier to believe. Especially since he just took a lie detector

Doesn't mean he couldn't have been involved, I guess.

Re:Two missing girls
the dad has an extensive rap sheet including drug, domestic violence and weapons charges. my feeling is if he is not directly involved he is involved in one way or another. possibly he owes someone a drug debt or had a recent deal gone bad. pure speculation of course. his facebook page is also public and...shall we say... interesting.

I have found some of the parents actions and statements through this all to be a bit odd. They've been real assertive about their claims that they were "abducted", which I think is a bit odd. I believe I saw a quote today by the mom basically speculating how it happened.
Far be it from me to speculate what the "proper" response is to learning your child is missing-- I can't even what that would do to your psyche or behavior. But I've thought all along that their statements have been a little strange.

Another thing I've been questioning - they show 0 emotion when they are on camera. I'm not saying they aren't just being strong, but I know if it was my kid missing, I'd be in tears fsho.

Get's out of being interrogated and goes straight to the press saying he was just questioned by the police??? Why would you do that? If I was just interrogated wrongfully, the last thing I would do is go straight to the press saying so.
