Do you mean getting a vasectomy? They don't remove your testicles when you have a vasectomy, that's just with livestock.
Re: Why it hurts when kicked in the junk.
Took a foul tip straight off the bat to the jewels. Never hit the ground or the catcher's mitt. By the time I realized what I was doing I had crawled out to the pitcher's mound. I never understood the relationship between getting hit there and throwing up until then. My summer job back then was putting up pole buildings. The next day we were setting rafters which meant you were straddling a 2x6 with no place to support your feet while you were nailing on the rafters. I didn't make it through the day.

I'm surprised how many football players don't wear a cup?$?#? Yet, They all wear mouth guard (it's required in HS) ???
Wearing a cup in football would be awful. Getting a helmet to the cup would be worse than a helmet to the groin. Compression shorts or a jock should take care of everything.
And I broke 4 cups catching in high school (3 foul tips, one the kid tried to slide through me). Got taken out pitching one game and forget to put my cup back in before I went out to catch..that was a realllllly long inning. Sat with my throwing hand over my junk because I figured a broken hand was better than broken balls.
Re: Why it hurts when kicked in the junk.
I hate that moment when you get hit in the balls... And it hurts, but not as much as you know it's going to... Then you're there on the ground waiting for the imminent pain, and it comes on slowly but surely until it's unbearable......
Re: Why it hurts when kicked in the junk.
The worst pain a male can experience...hands down.

I took a helmet to the jewels in HS. Worst feeling ever.

It's hard to imagine breaking a cup, giving the impact resistance of polymer materials; you must had a hard-throwing pitcher.
But, I disagree about football. I took some shots with a cup and was glad I had it; and I never had one break, thank goodness.

If the foul tips were hard enough to break the cup, just think what it would have done to the boys.......

Just takes the ball to the direct center of the cup between the three holes and they'll crack. At the point of just a little crack I figured it was time to replace it. The kid who slid through me ripped my pants, the cup supporter in my compression shorts, and basically broke my cup in half. That could've felt awesome without a cup on.
This all said, it can still hurt like hell to take a shot to the cup.

And bicycles pesent a whole new opportunity for pain in this area. Never could understand why they constructed boys/men's bicycles the way they did. I figure they were originally designed by a sadistic woman.

Which is odd, because the cup only works for direct, straight-on impact. Underneath causes trouble with the "pointy end" and sensitive places. From the side creates a pinching effect. Straight-on impact is all the cup really helps with.

Haven't been hit in the nuts for 20+ years.
Don't miss it at all.
