The worst is when they are the perfect height that when you are holding them their feet end up at sack level. Then they squirm or try to get you to put them down and BAM you drop like a rock.
My kids are all now big enough that isn't an issue, but I'd recommend a cup during those years.
It also sucks when the kids are just tall enough that when they come running up to give you a hug they end up head butting you in just the wrong spot. Always leads to that awkward moment when they don't realize why you are crawling away in pain when all they wanted to do is give you a hug.
