Same here. I remember crouching down behind a row of shrubs with another kid yelling "pig", "fat slob", etc. at a heavy lady as she was out walking. We were probably 5 or 6 at the time and were dumb enough to think that there was no way she'd know it was us. She called our moms. Thankfully our moms made us go personally apologize. Its nearly 40 years later and I'm still a little disgusted with myself for my actions then.
I will have to agree with this. If I had a nickel for everything I said/did when I was young that I now regret, then I would have a ****load of nickels.
Didn't grow up around any of these lifestyles but used to travel alot with my folks. Everytime I saw people in "Frontier" style clothing I couldn't help myself. I'm kind of immature at times so even today I still chuckle a little.

Yeah no doubt, fat people shouldn't be apologized to.

I made fun of Danny McGrath a lot when I was young. Then after I grew up, I called him one day to apologize. He was cool about it, and one day when a bad man was pointing a gun at me, Danny McGrath sniped him in the buttocks.
This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy.
