Had to move the food in off of the grill and finish cooking inside. Sure glad I am married to someone who can tell me when it's time to get inside.
And here comes another round through northern Polk. We've now just tripled our July total here in the last hour.
The NWS is also saying there's another chance for rain this weekend ... when's the last time we had two measurable rains within a week???
Checked our rain gauge in west Ames -- it showed almost .8 in. SO excited! But our basement sump pump is dry as a bone. Leaves all over the yard, no branches that I can see. Very strange to have indoor temperature higher than outside in July, but I'll take it.
Nothing but wind.
