Trying to find the max wind speed for Boone, Iowa from one of the storms last week for a project.
I've had no luck with the NWS website, Farmer's almanac, and WeatherUnderground. Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Beautiful Weather Graphs and Maps - WeatherSpark may have the historical data you're looking for.
Follow this link to the WeatherUnderground page http://www.wunderground.com/history/and type in the location you want. That should give you what you need.
Which day last week?
Great resources but both are showing wind speeds much lower than I need for this report. Hmmm...I could have sworn we had 70 mph last week for one of the storms.
thanks for the help. much appreciated.
I'll assume you are talking about July 25, here is the data for that day from the Boone AWOS Station: IEM | Observation History
The peak wind gust was 54 mph and occurred at 8:45pm.
There were many other reports (both observed and estimated) with the storms that moved through, you can see all of the reports here: IEM Local Storm Report App
Ames Airport measured a 68 mph wind gusts, but the highest in Boone county was an estimated 65 mph. There were reports of 70+, but they occurred in Carroll County and others.
Hope that helped!!
