    Grenade Fishing

    ...seems like a good idea.

Rep for the best Yakov Smirnoff style commentary.

that's a good question. He sure doesn't look too spry by the end of the video.

And he wasn't even the idiot who held onto the grenade too long. Doesn't seem too fair. Then again, he wasn't exactly protesting either.

When the fish are shallow, you have to be willing to take some risks.

If you look closely, you can see him moving immediately after the explosion and at the end of the video. May not be able to hear anything though.

    Re: Grenade Fishing

For some reason this reminds me of a story my dad told me about WWII. Right after the war ended he told me he saw kids playing with German grenades like we play with cherry bombs.

From my extensive knowledge of military hardware (IE......I saw it on the History Channel once), German grenades were all about concussion. They packed as much explosives into thin metal or wood containers as they could fit, and counted on the concussion to do the work. American grenades were packed into thicker metal cases that produced much more shrapnel than their German counterparts.

So, to use an analogy: German grenades had more bark, while American grenades had more bite.
