My wife: Live & let live

So Willow the Destoyer was out for his morning hunt, and bagged himself a baby squirrel that fell out of the ash tree overnight. Not only was he prepping his meal, he was also fending off mama squirrel.

My wife: "What does he have?"

Me: Squirrel.

Wife: big or little?

Me: pretty small


Wife freaks out, goes and breaks up the party.


Me: If the squirrel was bigger, you would applaud him.

Wife: Not a fair fight. Any animal that goes after babies should be kept indoors or eradicated.

Me: So are you saying lions should live in the house, or should we systematically remove them? How about tigers?

Wife: I was up all night working, and you had 3 Spotted Cows last night. I'm going to bed. I expect breakfast.

Your wife sounds awesome.

My wife saved a baby bird from our basement window well. Five minutes later, he hopped into the road and got ran over by a car. It was sad and hilarious at the same time.

Wow, if you managed to win the argument that easily kudos to you. However, I get the sense that you're wife will retaliate in a way which will make not caring about baby squirrels seem like an awful choice in hindsight.

My wife is an NP in a NICU. (neonatal intensive care unit)

She has a soft spot for little babies.

I'm glad that Willow is an equal opportunity killer btw.

I saved a baby cardinal from the neighbors labs. Just couldn't bare the thought. A robin or blackbird on the otherhand....open season.
