    Saw this on Twitter all day, finally decided to open it and first thing I see is him wearing an Iowa St shirt!

    Marial was a cross-country and distance runner at Iowa State, but he has run just two marathons: in Minnesota in 2011 and in San Diego last June. Still, he ran an Olympic-qualifying time, and befriended a fellow runner, Brad Poore, a lawyer who started a lobbying campaign with the IOC to enter his new friend in the race.
    Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

    Ya its true. Heard a big interview with his ISU coach on talk of Iowa on NPR the other day. Its a really good story. He refuse to run for his home countries government so he runs under the olympic banner. He didnt make opening ceremonies (I was watching for him) because he was still getting his visa's in order. He really loves ISU according to his coaches!
    I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

    Well, he has a country, it just isn't authorized by the IOC yet. Can't blame him for not wanting to run for Sudan.
