    Any president would need this type of security, and also tie in visits to state fair, etc.
    I think the overwhelming majority have made it clear they are talking about the position, not the man.

    I think it is money well spent. As others have mentioned a successful attempt would give the US a huge black eye and great recruiting cache to whatever organization were responsible. Remember the most well known organization of this type was really still relatively small potatoes until Bill Clinton named their leader in a speech as one of the most wanted. They became more prominent and were able to recruit much more widely after that. That was just because of a speech; imagine what a successful operation against the preeminent world leader would do.

    That's good. Sometimes security and traffic issues like this will really flare up the current president haters. It's a necessity no matter who is in office.

    He didn't take Mega Bus or Greyhound?? What an outrage...

    I saw the security and its warranted. I've heard way too many people wishing harm upon the president. All of then joking, . I would hope, but there are a lot if whack jobs out there.
