Marketing ploy to sell 2012 Cy-Hawk shirts?

I was just browsing through Cy's Locker Room online to see if they have anything new and came across these:

I think they might be trying to increase sales by making the game seem more interesting than it was. At first glance it seems ordinary:



But upon a closer look...


BAM! We won by two scores! The team must be having a great week practicing to score after the game. CPR must have thrown the hoks a bone just to make things interesting

Yeah, i got that in my email literally minutes after we won. Just a placeholder graphic they had right away.

That said... is it weird that this year i have little desire for this shirt? There are years I would've loved to have it... but it seems like it wasn't that big of a deal so i don't have a huge desire for it. Now.... if we upset OU i'd be happy to buy a shirt.

Yeah, I get the placeholder graphic, I just thought it was funny. Tend to be one that pays attention to the small details, but try to hold back from correcting others spelling to avoid plenty of these

Beating Iowa isn't as big as it was in the recent past. Fans still love it, but it isn't that big of a deal to go buy shirts, ect., commemorating it anymore. In the same way, I'm hoping all the towels, posters, and whatever of the OSU game will just be from "another game" in a few years.
