My mother originates from Early, IA and my uncle still lives there (grandparents did as well). I've been going there nearly every thanksgiving and christmas for 30 years. Crazy story in general about this whole deal. No wonder small towns are sometimes worried about new people moving there out of the blue.
Ironically, and completely by chance, my college dorm roommate was also from Early. The chances of me getting paired with someone from Early had to be no more than 0.01% given they probably only had 15 kids in the high school class, and that only 1 or 2 of those went to ISU...
