I always was able to find it pretty much anywhere, try the liquer store over by East Hy-Vee if nothing else. They changed their recipe a few years back though and I'm not as much a fan as I used to be.

Its my favorite rum. I can find it at all HyVee's in Des Moines. Guessing you have looked at HyVee?

Pretty sure it's available anywhere alcohol is sold. It's #1 on my list but That Sailor is an ******* though. He really sneaks up on you if you aren't careful.

Good to know. Had a buddy tell me to try it a couple nights ago. Didn't see it in my rural area anywhere and was hoping to pick up a bottle when I head over to the game tonight. Do you think I'll have any luck finding Russian Standard Vodka? I've only been able to try it through third hand sources and pretty much love the stuff.

I agree, Hy Vee liquor usually has it. Appleton Estate is where it's at, though.

Sailor Jerry's is smooth, but it's 90 proof so watch your consumption or you'll be swabbing the deck with your face.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find Russian Standard in Ames. Might take a bit of looking though.
