Mustang gone, new old car, new avatar
I know this isn't Facebook and all, but the red '65 mustang convertible is sold.
But somehow after the auction where I sold it, this tu-tone green 55 Fairlane 2-door post seems to have followed me home. 43,000 original miles. If I could just figure out how to get the thing to start without cranking the engine for 45 seconds, I'd be pretty damn happy with it.
So I had to change my avatar and post a message just to see how it looks.
Let the "cool story bro" posts begin...

I think that you should post the picture of it as an attachment so that we could get a good view of it!

Cool car. My Dad has an old car, and has issues with gas that has ethanol in it, or all gas. There is an additive you can add for older engines. his mechanic also put on a better air filter, and took out the catalytic converters. Runs and sounds better. It's an '86 jeep, which is very different from what you have, but I am guessing the carburetors are similar.

That darker green is beautiful.

Growing up, our family car was a '55 Fairlane 4-door all light green. I do like the tu-tone. My uncle had a '56 Fairlane 2-door that was tu-tone Red on top and white on the bottom.
