So.... I have resorted to hoping they stay in town and help out the community a little bit.
Good People though. Kind of weird to be honest to see how much their life has already changed and they don't even have the money yet. Not sure what I would do if I were in their situation to be honest..Good luck to them. They should be coming forward soon.
Maybe they'll donate to Ferentz's buyout like so many of them were calling for a few weeks ago? -

But I think I would feel bad if I donated $10 mil to ISU and no money to churches/other organizations. Instead of renting out the land I would just farm it myself. You could afford big enought equipment that running 1,000 wouldn't take long at all, you are gonna need something to do to keep you out of trouble!

If I won this kind of scratch, I'd be out living in Hawaii and wouldn't look back. I'd want to be as far away as possible from anybody who knew I was a lottery winner.

Re: $200 Million Dollar PowerBall ticket sold in Iowa
This is now the question in town....
Will they stay around with the 3 kids or bounce to a place to get lost with other millionaires.
They seem to be "Firmly Entrenched" in the community...lol
They are pretty laid back small town people though, but this changes everything.
They are going to go through some challenges wherever they live.
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -

They are going to go through some challenges wherever they live. I would leave town. For no other reason than safety for your kids. There's a lot of nutjobs out there. I can't imagine how paranoid I'd be about where they are at all times.

I'm pretty content with my way of life and the troubles that would be cause might not be worth it.

Re: $200 Million Dollar PowerBall ticket sold in Iowa
When I won, I had my lawyers and accountants set up a blind trust to claim the prize (not sure if you can do this or not). I told about 10 people I'd won, handed them a stack of money, and told them to go to work on Monday because I was going. It's been awesome ever since, only a couple years away from buying an NFL team, moving them to LA, and going to casting calls with my girlfriend like my boy Robert Kraft. Holla!

Re: $200 Million Dollar PowerBall ticket sold in Iowa
The press conference was very good. Talked about taking care of their family, pretty much not working for their currently employers anymore starting a bunch of foundations to the Bondurant School Dist, community their church, Cancer etc....They sound like they want to stay here and somehow stay grounded as best they can.
He is a City Council Member, Lawyer, Big part of the Church and Awanas, Their families are from around here. have 3 kids. He is the kind of guy that hopefully fall victim of having too much money.
Be interesting to see what happens. I wouldn't mind some new facilities in town though:)
Who knows though...They will have a tough few months.

If I won that prize, I'd announce being the lead donor for the SEZ at the lottery press conference.
Edit: also, my daughter's in-house softball league would also get a state-of-the-art 1000-seat softball stadium in town here; picture Jerry World but made for 10 year olds to play softball in.
They say that English surnames came from what you did with your life. I'm so glad my last name isn't Dickinson. -

I'll call JP - he probably hasn't thought of this.
