Winter storms to get names
Of course the names are not coming from the National Weather Service rather from The Weather Channel. Guess they see money it it or something.

Re: Winter storms to get names
Very last line of the article: Finally, it might even be fun and entertaining and that in itself should breed interest from our viewing public and our digital users. For all of these reasons, the time is right to introduce this concept for the winter season of 2012-13. ∞ -

Based on those names, I'm thinking this has to be a troll job. A very, very good troll job.

Winter Storm Magnus sounds terrifying.

Re: Winter storms to get names
I think the Q storm would be the most terrifying. You look outside, see the blizzard blowing snow everywhere, drifts up to your knees... then you hear the sound of someone snapping their fingers, see a bright flash, and BOOM! Borg everywhere. Game over, man, game over.
This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy. -
