Moving to the Twin Cities for an Internship this upcoming Summer...
I got an internship offer at the top company I interviewed for, so I will be going to the Twin Cities this summer.
Give me everything I need to know! Things I should go do, bars/clubs, places to eat that I have to try (like food network worthy). Good places to live, places to avoid. etc etc
I'll be working in Arden Hills or Maple Grove if that helps (they have two major facilities there and don't know which one I would be at).
Thanks in Advance.
My teams: (as of 2/27/13) Cleveland Browns: 5-11 - .313 Cleveland Indians: 68-94 - .421 Cleveland Cavs: 19-38 - .333 Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 6-7 - .462 9/22/18 & 9/7/19 Akron and Iowa State CAN'T WAIT! -

Are you hoping to live in Minneapolis or out in the 'burbs? Or are they providing housing for you somewhere?

Do you want to live in the cities or near your work in the northern burbs? How old are you?

As far as night life, you basically have 2 scenes. Uptown and Downtown. There are good and bad things about both. Being that I'm almost 30 I've changed my bars/clubs to more upscale bars/restaurants and maybe a club every now and then. In Uptown I like Chino Latino, Bar Louie, Cafeteria, Stella's, and the Lyndale Tap House. Downtown I like Kierens, The Local, Pourhouse, Cowboy Jacks, and 508.
As far as food goes, Minneapolis has exploded with top notch food. It's a foodies paradise. From upscale to Diners, Drive-inns, and dives, we really have it all.

Love:
Bar La Grassa - best in the cities if you ask me.
Bacherlor Farmer
112 Eatery
Tilia
Broaders
Manny's
Murrays
Here is a good list with a mix of upscale and some of the "dive" type places that have tons of good cheap food. Best Twin Cities restaurants | Urbanspoon
Go to Matt's and get the original Jucy Lucy or my favorite, Blue Door Pub. Just so many good places.

Consider travel time to the job. Traffic can be a zoo.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Traffic sucks, but being my age, 29, I'd never live way out in the burbs by where you listed. I live in St. Louis Park, which butts up against Minneapolis. I can get to Uptown or Downtown in 5 mins.
If you're younger, look to live in Uptown, St. Louis Park or maybe even the North Loop in Downtown Minneapolis.
Maple Grove and Arden Hills are not young people places.

Maple Grove and Arden Hills are not young people places. I'm hardly 20 so that is pretty good advice My teams: (as of 2/27/13) Cleveland Browns: 5-11 - .313 Cleveland Indians: 68-94 - .421 Cleveland Cavs: 19-38 - .333 Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 6-7 - .462 9/22/18 & 9/7/19 Akron and Iowa State CAN'T WAIT! -

You'll thank me later. Agreed. Try the blueberry doughnuts and the apple cinnamon doughnuts. Be aware the Jack's isn't open on Sundays.

Maple Grove and Arden Hills are not young people places. Disagree. My wife and I live in Maple Grove, I'm 29, she's 28. Lots of great shopping, dining, entertainment in Maple Grove. Lots of 20 somethings in Maple Grove area.
