    I recall seeing that an estimated 250,000,000 birds are killed each year by stray house and feral cats. This was several years ago. Maybe that number was real low. Too bad too.

    I had one cat kill that only had 1 kill and it was a bird that got in the basement. Came home and there was bird **** all over the floor.

    We took in stray cat (named him Denver)and he comes and goes into the house as he pleases. He has left a dead bird on the porch. Had him fixed, but left his claws since hes outside a lot. He frequently comes home with scratches and bites from another stray cat in the neighborhood when he stays outside at night.

    We thought Denver was a wuss, but I've seen his nemesis cat attack other animals including dogs, and even chased a pretty large dog through some yards. We call that cat "whitepants" and its pretty bad ***. We concluded that Denver has a pretty good strength of schedule in the neighborhood, and maybe hes not such a wuss...just can't seem to kick whitepants ***.

    There are several free-roaming cats in our neighborhood. We don't have a shortage of either squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, or possums. Maybe these cats are lazy...
