As a die-hard Nationals fan, last night's game was unbearable. I have respect for their organization; definitely doesn't make it easier to lose the series though. I think they get by the Giants too.

With a 100 percent Stras, the Nats make more noise in 2013.

I think the success the Nationals had this year was a surprise to their own organization. Way back when they decided to shut down Strasburg after X-number of innings, they were probably thinking they'd have an okay year but not really be contenders for another year or two so shutting him down wouldn't affect them much. Hindsight is 20/20.

I don't agree with shutting down Strasburg to save him for the future -- mainly because sports is a "what have you done for me lately/now" kind of industry. It's not a guarantee that they'd win the NLDS with him pitching, but I like their odds better.

I hate the Cards as well - but I have got to give them credit for using the wildcard. Once they get in they just seem to keep going.

Would love to see either the Cubs or the Astros do something but both of those programs look to be down and out for awhile. So my interest in baseball has dropped pretty bad.

Umm, no, the Braves lost. If you are mad that there shouldn't have even been a one game playoff, your beef is with Bud Selig and not the Cardinals.

Game 4:
"LoL @ the Cards. Sucks to suck. Nats will win this series now."
Who are the Cubs playing this week? Exactly.

Game 5:
"Bailed out by ****ty pitches from a tired closer"
Or maybe good pitch selection by experienced hitters.

If the Nationals had won, I'd cheer for them to win it all. Good story with that ballclub.

My Cubs buddy texted me 2 nights ago after the walk off homer. Being a dick, of course.

He then texted me when Freese was up and had to strikes on him. "Ouch....better luck next year".

He now won't respond to any of my numerous, annoying texts.
