I don't know I mean Sheryl Crow was hot, but Anna Hansen isn't bad.
(Wait do people actually care about cycling - I mean I had a moderate interest back when some American was destroying everyone else, but now that that's over...meh.)

My big question about lance is what is he going to do with himself now? He seems too driven to just fade into the shadows. He seems to like the spotlight. He'll come to Iowa every year for RAGBRAI and people will fall all over themselves to get a picture of him.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?

Lance Armstrong and Livestrong | Lance Armstrong | OutsideOnline.com "Equally interesting is what the foundation doesn’t do. Most people—including nearly everybody I surveyed while reporting this story—assume that Livestrong funnels large amounts of money into cancer research. Nope. The foundation gave out a total of $20 million in research grants between 1998 and 2005, the year it began phasing out its support of hard science. A note on the foundation’s website informs visitors that, as of 2010, it no longer even accepts research proposals" -

Scumbags can do good things, but they're still scumbags. Still, he was tested more than any athlete in history, supposedly abused them for 7 plus years, and was never caught once? I am sorry, but I think when you are tested that much, you should have to get a positive in order to be indicted.

I read a book of his about 10 years ago and I thought the guy seemed like a ****** back then.

We will likely go another thousand years and have no "cure" for cancer. They focus on treatment, which is alot more realistic.

Re: How far has Lance Armstrong fallen?
I'd say his fall from grace is complete from a competitive standpoint. He has done a lot of work for Cancer and that is a good thing.
"For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived, and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

But he did test positive. He Just had the $ and a complicit UCI to make them go away. And can we agree to just drop the nonsense about most tested athlete. LA and his brand managers have shoved this myth down our throats about 500+ tests. If you read "Reasoned Decision" you would know that number to be inflated by nearly 100%. The brand managers must be counting all of the evaded tests too.

Re: How far has Lance Armstrong fallen?
Lance doped big ******* deal. Of course he doped they all doped. He was still the best. He was the best trained. He firgured out the best equipment. Hell he probably doped better than the rest. Lance worked hard and it showed. BTW I am not a really a fan of LA but he did a lot for the sport and for that I'm grateful.

Re: How far has Lance Armstrong fallen?
The walls are finally crumbling down for pretty boy Lance. He disgusts me. He is a liar, cheater, bully, and a sociopath. People say, oh, but he has done such good things for cancer research. Yes, he has, but no way would I want my kids looking up to Lance. There are plenty of people in this world who do good things that are honest, good people. If you have an extra 45 minutes, this video will open your eyes to the person Lance really is. The World According to Lance - Four Corners
Okay, my vent is over. :) I have a friend who is a professional cyclist and its so disconcerting to see all this crap in the news when my friend has worked his butt off to race against cheats!
