None of it is real. Its all in Hurley's head.

For Heroes fans - this feels a lot like the same. Great first season then a huge tumble into bleh.
Now I really liked the first season too, but if you're claiming there were no horror cliches in that season, that's very debatable.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
Agree with most here. I'll most likely keep watching to see where this hot mess of a season ends up, but there's just too much going on.

Oh no, they were definitely there as well. However the characters were interesting, the plot had a direction, and the story was creative. All are missing this time around.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
For some reason this week's episode started to draw me back in a little bit. I'm going to finish out the season and who knows, maybe they have something really good planned for the end.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
So am I alone when I say I'm enjoying this season? I didn't see season 1, but this season has me hooked because of how creepy and crazy the stories are.

I'm not saying the first season didn't have some cliques in it as well, but they stuck with one type of horror story if that makes sense. It was about a haunted house basically and as akellar said the characters were really good and there was a direction.
This season seems to be all over the place. Maybe it's actually brilliant writing since the story is in an asylum and you're supposed to feel like you don't know what's going on?
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
Did anyone actually watch this all the way to the end? The story did come together a little more towards the end but I'm not sure the payoff in the final episode was as good as I'd hoped. I will say the musical number a couple episodes back was one of the most bizarre things I've seen on television. With how the rest of the season was that seemed completely out of nowhere.

I watched the first season when it aired, and every episode of this season and I loved it. Although the ending wasn't action-packed, i thought it was very good. I am very bias because I love this series, but I thought the whole season was a lot different from the first season, but it ended nicely. The musical number was very odd, the creators of this show also made Glee, so that might explain it. Can't wait for season 3!
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
I watched both seasons. I enjoyed both but I would say I liked the first season better. Also, I had the hardest time staying awake during this season's finale. It was extreeeemely slow and not what I was hoping for.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
Yeah the finale wasn't bad but it was it little slow. It was almost like an epilogue where they were just wrapping up each storyline to give some closure. But I will say that Jessica Lange was outstanding the entire season. She won an emmy last year for it and I definitely think she should be nominated again.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
Not sure how I felt about this season. There were a lot of good stories but the main story was a little disjointed and jumped around too much for me. Will definitely watch season 3 though.
What was the last scene about? My 1 year old was screaming at the time and I couldn't figure out what was going on.

The flashback scene? I was actually wondering if that was a scene they had showed really early on and they were just showing it again, or if that was something we'd never seen before. What I got from it:
Basically it was Lana asking Jude about Bloody Face and it ended with Jude saying to be careful because when you stare into the face of evil, evil stares right back. I think it was just showing that what Lana went through with Bloody Face hardened her and made her capable of shooting her own son. And she seemed to shoot him with not a lot of hesitation.
Re: American Horror Story: Asylum
We just finished season 1 on netflix. I hope I'm not as disappointed as all of you in season 2. I just have to hope for a weekend fx shows them all so I can DVR.

Thanks, I only heard the part about evil I didn't hear what Lana said at all.
