Rehearsal Dinner Locations in Des Moines
I'm in charge of coming up with the rehearsal dinner location. The one thing I have to do and I'm failing miserably. I was all excited about Jethro's and then found out they charge $3,000! A little more than we're looking to spend. Should be around 30-40 people total.
Any ideas peeps?
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Any ideas peeps? Holy crap, how many people are in your wedding party?

We just grilled burgers in a public park. Worked great, kids had things to do, and it was laid back and easy.

We had ours at Rock Bottom. I think the beer tab ended up a little outrageous though... -
Re: Rehearsal Dinner Locations in Des Moines
We did ours at Mama Lacona's, this was back in 2003. A quick glance at their website shows no charge for the room. Not sure they have enough space for 30-40, but worth checking out maybe.

I don't recall the final cost though...a lot will depend on how you do drinks. I believe we used tickets they provided and kept track of and they only charged per those. Good luck!

Have you just called around to the restaurants in town?
30 people, $100/person seems awuful steep for a BBQ joint. I would think plenty of places would be able to work with you on getting something well under $30/person plus liqour.
