Has anybody else seen this yet? My wife an I went tonight. I thought it was the best movie that I've seen in a long long time.
Great movie. A part of history I never knew about even though I thought I followed the hostage crisis closely at the time, though I probably forgot some of it. I'm glad I stayed thru some of the credits to see the actual pictures of the rescued hostages and the history of why the whole story wasn't told until 20 years later. A few people left too soon.
Very good. Like someone said, it kept you guessing even if you knew the end. Went with my husband and a couple friends. They'd never even studied the hostage crisis in high school (high school in mid-2000s)
A lot of people know about the hostage situation, but few knew about the ones that escaped and were in hiding, at least I didn't know. Great movie. If you go, make sure you stay for the credits. The actual footage was one of my favorite parts.
“I heard that Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation will each make $5 million for this season’s ‘Jersey Shore.’ It just goes to show that if you put your mind to something and work hard, you’re wasting your time.” -- Jimmy Fallon
Affleck's road from tabloid pretty boy to respected director/decent actor has to be one of the more unexpected career turnarounds in recent memory. I'm sad I'll probably end up waiting to see Argo on DVD because from everything I hear it would be right in my wheelhouse.
